My body is the temple, asanas are my prayers.
— BKS Iyengar

I have been practicing and/or teaching yoga almost every day for over 30 years.

I love to bring ritual, meditation, asana, and pranayama to my students through these lineages that have brought me so much beauty, wellness, joy, and freedom.

I am currently offering one on one instruction in yoga and meditation at my studio in Carpinteria and in workshops settings with small groups.

I bring a focus on alignment as well as restorative asana from my certification in the Iyengar tradition, and a circularity and flow from my training in Ashtanga and Shadow Yoga traditions. I love guiding students to find a practice that is appropriate for them in this moment and helping them to reawaken the natural currents of energy within their bodies through movement and breath.

“We just did a study on yoga for people with PTSD. We found that yoga was more effective than any medicine that people have studied up to now. That doesn’t mean yoga cures it, but yoga (practice) makes a substantial difference in the right direction.”
