bobbing on the pointed green tips
Greetings Dear Ones,
A belated Imbolc blessing to you all from the central coast of California where a historical storm is just beginning. Spring may be 'in the belly', but we are also still definitely in the depths of winter.
I wrote the poem above a couple of years ago, about one of my favorite harbingers of spring, the red winged black bird. They are back at Lake Los Carneros this year, and I hope they have a good safe place to hide during these storms.
Imbolc, which I've shared here with you before, February 2nd, the feast day of the triple goddess Brighid of Ireland, is also known as Candlemas and Groundhog's day.
Imbolc means 'in the belly', referring to the ewes pregnant with lambs and the earth pregnant with and gestating viriditas, the truth-bringing-green-ringing earth's out breath of flowers and life that is spring.
We are halfway between the darkest day and the spring equinox, the return of the light and the time of rebirth.
Stay tuned for dates for our upcoming spring cleanse workshop and scroll down to find out more about new offerings in my practice.
Much Love,
~Liz
Craniosacral Therapy
I am now offering craniosacral therapy in addition to the other modalities I bring to my practice.
Craniosacral therapy is an extremely gentle modality that works with the cranial wave movement pattern within the body through gentle holds that decompress connective tissue restrictions through the oceanic environment of the cerebrospinal fluid. Often through this profound presence a healing state known as a 'stillpoint' often arises, followed by deeper relaxation, revitalization, and integration within body, mind, and spirit.
As a long time (30+ years) practitioner and teacher of meditation and yoga, the practice of craniosacral therapy has been a profound deepening and celebrating of the level of stillness and presence I have been able to achieve within myself and help cultivate in others.
The craniosacral stillpoint resembles to me the kumbaka, or spontaneous breath retention that comes in deep yogic pranayama practice. It is not something you can 'do'. There is no 'doing'. We can only prepare and cultivate the space to receive grace, we cannot 'make' grace happen.
The feedback so far from clients has been absolutely phenomenal. Deep physical, spiritual, and psychological healing have come to each person I have had the gift to work with in this modality.
If you are interested in receiving this incredible work please contact me to make your appointment today. I am currently booked for the month of February and now taking clients for March.
